ECE is about electronics and how the different electrical components (Microprocessor, RAM etc.). Communicate with each other. It has more Physics in it. There is a little programming involved but not much. CSE deals with telling these components what to do and when to do it; by programming them. It has a lot of logic involved and Maths too. Hello Feby, both have equal scopes because IT companies goes for IT, CS and ECE graduated. It only differs when it comes to core companies. If you want an easier stream, IT will be better for you, and if you are interested in programming and software development, you can go for CSE.

Both are same but there are some differences between them. Computer Science and information technology syllabus is approximately same but in 8th semester, only one subject is changed in IT. Companies and recruiters first prefer CS students over IT students.
