Remember, any course in SASTRA will fetch you a job in any one of the IT companies at the end of your four years. So, don’t restrict yourself to one particular course and be open to any B.Tech course. I have seen people with high marks often choose electronics, experience its wrath and eventually get placed in an IT company. Also, people with lesser marks choosing a lot cooler course to get into an IT company. So, my only suggestion is to be happy with any course you get here. Yes, you will get any desired course that you wanted

This is the course which is trending now a days due to the digitalization and the increase in demand for software engineers. The CSE course is very good option for you, and also you can do B.Sc (CSC) or B.Sc (IT). These courses also have the same scope as of B.Tech (CSE).

CSE department is a very good department in government sector as there are many sectors that require computers from generation stations to communication (BSNL) and all other sectors related computers. Since CSE is also a branch of engineering, you can appear for IES.

IOT the the future of the software industry. The job scope is huge in this specialization. Go ahead as CSE is a good stream with maximum job offers these days. The need for you would be a good university giving you the best academic facilities: best faculty, good placements, wide platform, international exposure, workshops, scholarships etc. There are some colleges giving you the best placement practices by conducting placement classes and drives conducted by companies. Check from institutions like VIT and Lovely Professional University.

With only 71 marks out if 360, I feel you have almost no chance of getting admission in a good college. However, you can attempt admission via management quota of a private engineering college.

With this rank, you can only join private colleges. You have an opportunity to get govt. colleges but not this branch. So, it's better to drop or go for private institutes like LPU, Thapar, LNMIIT, etc.

Yes, you can, but you have to wait for the last round of the counselling, as getting CS would be somewhat difficult for you, because this stream is of very high demand, and no one wants to lose it, until they are in better institute.
