CSE department is a very good department in government sector as there are many sectors that require computers from generation stations to communication (BSNL) and all other sectors related computers. Since CSE is also a branch of engineering, you can appear for IES.

Reva is very bad college. It has very low placements. But college doesn't decide your future. Work hard where ever you are and you'll ultimately succeed.

IOT the the future of the software industry. The job scope is huge in this specialization. Go ahead as CSE is a good stream with maximum job offers these days. The need for you would be a good university giving you the best academic facilities: best faculty, good placements, wide platform, international exposure, workshops, scholarships etc. There are some colleges giving you the best placement practices by conducting placement classes and drives conducted by companies. Check from institutions like VIT and Lovely Professional University.

With only 71 marks out if 360, I feel you have almost no chance of getting admission in a good college. However, you can attempt admission via management quota of a private engineering college.

With this rank, you can only join private colleges. You have an opportunity to get govt. colleges but not this branch. So, it's better to drop or go for private institutes like LPU, Thapar, LNMIIT, etc.

Yes, you can, but you have to wait for the last round of the counselling, as getting CS would be somewhat difficult for you, because this stream is of very high demand, and no one wants to lose it, until they are in better institute.

You can opt for IT as it is has almost the same syllabus
And recruiters don't differentiate between CSE and IT.

Engineering does not only make you fit for job but essentially makes you fit to face the world. As young engineer, you may have bright ideas too. Other than IT job, you can have your own start up. Use it as building block to do may be MBA or MS. Or you can plunge into social work also.

Your rank is good and I think you may get admission into any government college.
Government colleges are good than private colleges but you must decide your college taking placements in mind.
