Hi. Often college students and campus cells segregate recruiters who frequent their campuses into six-seven categories The segregation is important for a core reason it helps you decide which company/set of companies you would rather target and prepare for their campus placement session. The focus also helps in deciding the direction you wish to pursue in your career. Here are some of the common company groups you would receive during campus placements:
Product Companies
IT / Tech service companies
MNCs
Startups
Core companies
Non-tech companies/roles
Chandigarh university
anna university

Both streams are pretty much the same. The syllabus is a bit different and that is all. Maybe you should know this that in GATE examination CSE and IT students sit for the same paper. If you want to be a coder it doesn't really matter which stream you are from, so if you get IT in a good college then go for it.
Companies look for talent. If you are good at what you do and have good grades then you will get recognition. Having said this don't opt for a college which is not that good, which does not have a very good work environment, because you need to have a good atmosphere around you in order to achieve your goals. So, look for a good... View more

All are good, but CSE is having more opportunities and a good scope for placements. If you're quick learner, then you can easily get a high package, in another branch you will get little challenges at placement but as you get on offer everything will settle down.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of RLA college is quite well. Wi-Fi is all over the campus and hostel. Hostel in the college is not very good. Mess food is quite good. The campus is small. The libraries have all the necessary books related to the courses. A bus station is also there near the co... View more
