Both fields are nearly same but talking about the difference, CS is basically working with the physical component of computers like processors, supercomputer and dealing with the software which runs them basically making hardware and software and IT deals with selecting proper software to run the machines.

If you look from another angle, merely percentile will not help much once NTA declared the ranking and that too, ranking for each category. This will roughly tell you the chances of success for you to get CSE as a subject in one of the NIT. However, to help you I am attaching a link that can predict the college a for you based on your percentile. I would advise you to please appear for the examination that is going to be conducted in the month of April with the aim of improving on your percentile.

With this rank, it will get somewhat difficult for you to get NIT. Instead of settling down for some mediocre government college, it would be better if your try for some good private university. Many reputed private universities are offering B.Tech degree with various specializations. They have their different criteria for admissions. CSE stands for computer Science engineering. It is a very challenging and rewarding field that requires a lot of creativity. If you belong to SC or ST category then you have a chance to get CSE, but with general category, it's not possible.

As per the ratings & reviews given by the current and alumni students, it is not much good college for any branch, it fails in providing placements for its students, thats the big disaster.
So, it's not a good college for CS also.

Getting into Osmania University require you to appear in EAMCET and through counseling. Depending upon your rank, you will get admission in either JNTUH or its affiliated colleges. But, top private colleges like CBIT, VASAVI, and VNR. etc., consider Mains ranks for admissions i.e, B-Category admissions. Keep looking their websites for B-Category notification once after the Mains rank is declared.
