I hope you are doing well. Don't worry if you were not able to qualify for JEE Mains. It depends which state you belongs to so that we can search for best private engineering college. There are several engineering college which are private but have best facility. Go to google and ask for Rank wise private college of state and check about their cut off marks for admission.

Preparing for UPSC CSE 2021,

Your rank is quite good but you may be well aware that getting CSE in a good NIT or IIIT at this rank is quite tough. I would suggest you go for newer NITs or IIITs like IIIT-Jabalpur, etc. In Maharashtra, you can try for home state NITs.

The average package at PSIT for CSE is Rs 3.75 lakhs and the highest package of PSIT in computer science and engineering is Rs 7 lakhs.

Don't look for better branch. A branch will be best for you if you really love to work in the same field. Of course job & money is ultimate aim ; but are best in your field then no one could beat you and you will be top at your field.

Yes, you have good chances to get ECE or CSE at Sastra either in stream 1 itself or in stream 2. As the AIR till 2000 are called in the first round of counseling, you may or may not get it under stream 1 but in stream 2, you have the chances of getting it.
It also depends on the seats available and if you belong to Tamil Nadu then your chances will be high.

There is no huge difference, but yes it is different from your 3rd year of B.Tech.
In IT, it is all about Software, in CS it all about Sofwtare + Hardware + OS core. So, choose the same as per your interest like in software/programing language or in IT infra like network/server/Operating System etc. Domains.

First of all in Medi-Caps University the teaching or academic is excellent. Also the architecture, campus crowd and surrounding are very good. From this year several new branches have also emerged such as data science, big data etc. Of course you will get sufficient time to get into coaching for higher education. May I know what you are you preparing for GATE, CAT etc.
