CSE VS ECE? Both are good. CSE is having good placement than ECE of course. And moreover easy curriculum than ECE. But if you want job in PSU or even if you love electronics, go for ECE. It's also a very good field. You will have two options software companies and Core companies. You can go both way. ECE students are taught some CS subjects. And you can even learn by yourself. It's upto you what you prefer. If you love coding go for CSE, if you love electronics and coding both go for ECE. Good luck.

My answer to the question would be a reference from Ashish Kedia's answer coz he has answered it beautifully.
If we talk of both technically:
CS takes a more balanced approach between theory and application while IT focuses more on application.
CS offers you an opportunity to learn variety of topics related to computers. IT offers you an opportunity to discovers innovative uses of those fundamental concepts.
CS generally require a decent background in math while use of math in IT is limited to data analysis / processing / statistics, etc

As far as I know there is no age limit for taking the entrance exam i.e., CET. Since you have done your 12th you don't have to worry about the eligibility criteria.

In CS, one can learn to develop software and IT training of applications of software. For opportunities in US, CS is better and in India, IT and CS are equal.

CSE nowadays have the value if you do it from good university with maximum exposure for the system and knowledge, Different institutes and universities which offer such courses are Lovely Professional University, Birla Institute of technology, KIIT University, Jaipur national university and few others.

A product based company is really capable of giving such a high packages. Its will be easy at some point if you are doing your graduation in IIT or NIT. If not its really too hard to get this kind of packages. As a CSE Engineer, the most payable job is cloud computing, machine learning, data scientist ect. You have to master a coding language like C+ or Java with dsa. Although you have to know about OS, TOC, DBMS ect.
