CA aspirant,

It is purely based on your interest and the area you wish to work in. The scope of work for a CA is mainly in the field of finance and accounting area whereas MBAs have more diversity to choose from.

On the other hand, there are instances of CAs who have picked new skills while on the job and handled greater responsibilities than someone who has an MBA degree.

Its a three year degree and B.Com irrelevant to what you want to study. Try contacting some universities first. Your work experience may help but not a guarantee. You should also consider other countries like Australia etc. You will have better idea only if you start contacting the universities one ... View more

Hello Shahnawaz,
I am assuming that you have pursued B.Com.
So, in such a case, M.Com will be an extension to your basics of accounting.
Whereas, MBA will give you a diversified knowledge, which will not be only related to accounting, but industry as well.
Depending upon your interest, you can choose either of them.

I am sure there must be some provision for students who have failed to clear the subjects in their semester exams. You can ask faculty or consult with other students who have backlogs for the same. Nothing. You do not get a job by adding a degree. Every job has a specific requirement if you are applying for a job for an accountant then MBA is overqualified and it means that your MBA has no value (it also depends from which institute you have got your MBA and if an MBA cannot fetch a campus placement for you, in the market, it has no value and the job you get will solely depend on your own ability, not on the basis of MBA). If you are applying for a job such as sales, marketing where MBA is prerequisite your M.Com has no value as it is a non-professional degree.
