SRMHCAT application fee in non-refundable. The fee refund request will not be accepted from any candidate under any circumstances. Thus, candidates must fill the form only when they are sure of appearing in the exam.

SRMHCAT is an easy exam, so not much time is required. However, if you are completely unfamiliar with the exam syllabus, then you can prepare for 3-4 months.

Candidates have to clear the personal interview round for MBA programme whereas for other courses selection is done through common counselling after shortlisting of candidates on the basis of SRMHCAT score.

There are 100 questions in SRMHCAT but it is not mandatory to solve all of them. Candidates should however solve a good number of questions to meet admission cut off.

SRM Unversity offers UG and PG courses through SRMHCAT exam, candidates willing to take admission for any course of their choice must have to adhere to the eligibility criteria released by the authorities. Candidates can check out below the course-wise eligibility criteria for SRM University:

Courses

SRMHCAT Eligibility Criteria

Integrated MBA and BA LLB,  BCom LLB and BBA LLB courses

  • Candidates passed or appearing in Class 12 examination are eligible to apply
  • They must have scored at least 50 per cent aggregate in the qualifying examination

BCom

  • Candidates passed or appearing in Class 12 exams
  • They must have scored 50 per cent aggregate in Accountancy, Maths, Economics, and Business Studies

BTech

  • Candidates passed or awaiting result for Class 12 examination are eligible
  • They must have scored at least 50 per cent aggregate of all subjects

LLB,  MA in English, and MBA courses

  • Candidates must hold a Bachelor degree from any UGC recognised university
  • They must have obtained 50 per cent aggregate marks

MTech

For Mechanical specialisation:

Candidates should have a Bachelor degree (BE/BTech) in Mechanical/Production/Automobile/Industrial & Areonautics with atleast 50 per cent  aggregate marks

For Computer Science specialisation:

Candidates should have a Bachelor degree (BE/BTech) in Computer Science/ Information & Technology/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Telecommunication/ Electronics and instrumentation with atleast 50 per cent aggregate marks
