The highest package can go as high as 12 to 18 LPA. But the average remains at around 5-6 LPA. Decent scores are fine but most of the time they do not have any significant value. I have seen students scoring less but getting a good package because of their aptitude and communication skills.

Since you already have relevant experience in payroll department in an organisation. Here, you can directly go for human resource specialisation either with job experience or through MBA or any equivalent degree like PGDM/PGDBA. If you wish to continue your job, you can opt for PGDM from distance learning. Nowadays, there are a lot of universities offering the distance degree in business administration all over India. I will recommend you to go for BBA. As BBA is the best course if you want to apply for MBA. In BBA you will get an overall knowledge of the field which will be helpful for you while applying for BBA. Nowadays, most of the engineering students are moving towards MBA. You have both the option available. Choose whatever is suitable for you.
