CMA 2023: The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) has rescheduled the CMA June 2023 exam. Along with the postponement of the CMA exam, ICAI has also revised the last date for exam form submission. Candidates aspiring to appear for June 2023 Foundation exam must submit the form on or before May 16. While the candidates aspiring to appear for Intermediate or Final course exams under June 2023 session must submit the form by May 15. CMA June 2023 exams are now scheduled to be conducted from July 15 to 22 for Intermediate and Final courses. Whereas, CMA Foundation exam under June 2023 term will be conducted on July 16 as an offline centre-based test.
For admission to CMA December 2023 term, ICAI will close admission portal on July 31. Additionally, ICAI has informed that candidates have two more sessions to appear for exams as per the old syllabus, CMA 2016 syllabus. The new syllabus, i.e. CMA 2022 syllabus will be mandatorily followed from June 2024 exam session. Candidates have to pay INR 6,000, INR 23,100, and INR 25,000 as Foundation, Intermediate and Final admission fees, respectively. Candidates applying for admission after the deadline will be marked ineligible for the June 2023 term exams and will be considered for the subsequent exam term. The exam dates for CMA June 2023 exam are yet to be released.
What is the CMA exam?
CMA examinations are conducted by The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI), previously known as The Institute of Cost and Works Accountants (CMA). Institute of Cost Accountants, commonly known as ICMAI, conducts the exams in two sessions in June and December. ICAI was set up to promote and regulate India's Cost and Management Accountancy profession. It offers courses at different levels as under:
- CMA Foundation course
- CMA Intermediate course
- CMA Final course

CMA June 2023 Exam Dates & Schedule
Registrations for the ICAI Foundation, Intermediate and Final courses are open throughout the year. However, candidates must apply before a stipulated deadline to register for a specified session. Students willing to appear for the June term exam should apply before January 31 of that year and for the December term exam should apply before July 31 of that year. However, the deadlines had been extended this year. The schedule for CMA exams have been tabulated below:

CMA Eligibility Criteria
The candidates who want to pursue the courses offered by CMA have to start right after passing Class 12th by taking admission in the Foundation courses. Besides, the eligibility criteria for each course is as under:

Candidates passing Class 12 or equivalent from a recognized board of education are eligible to take CMA foundation exam. However, with class 10th qualification, candidates can take admission in the course. |
CMA Intermediate course |
Candidates passing class 12 or equivalent examination and Foundation course of CMA are eligible for CMA Intermediate course. OR Candidates who hold a graduation degree in any discipline other than performing arts are eligible for the intermediate course registration. OR Candidates who have qualified ICSI Foundation Examination/Inter CA Examination/qualified CAT CMA |

Candidates who have qualified both groups of CMA Intermediate exam are eligible for the enrollment into final course. |
CMA Admission Process 2023
Step 1: Fill in the CMA Application form
Candidates have to fill the application form of CMA before the last date of each term. The candidates should check the eligibility criteria for each course before filling up the CMA 2023 application form. The application form of CMA is available in online mode only. Candidates have to pay the application fee for their course without which no application form is accepted by the institute. The application fee for each course:

Step 2: Download CMA Admit Card
Candidates registering and submitting the application form for CMA courses will be issued admit cards for appearing in the examination.
- The admit card will be available at least a week before the date of the CMA exam.
- Candidates can get their admit cards in an online mode only at the official website.
- To download the admit card, candidates need to enter their Registered ID and password for CMA exams.

Step 3: Appear for CMA
Candidates have to appear for the examinations as per the exam schedule for each course (mentioned above).
- The exam dates and timings for each course will be mentioned on the admit card of the candidates as well.
- The candidates have to appear for CMA examinations at their homes in a remote proctored manner.

Step 4: Check CMA Result
The institute will declare the results of CMA courses within 60 days of conducting the examination.
- The results will be published on the official website of ICMAI only.
- Candidates can check their CMA results by login using their Roll Number/ Registration Number and Password.
- Candidates securing minimum qualifying marks for each paper shall be declared pass and eligible for the next course or CMA graduate (after the final course).
