No, the ICAI does not send CA admit cards to candidates by post. Candidates have to download their admit cards from the official website by using login ID and password created at the time of exam registration. The login for admit card download is same as application submission. Candidates must download the copy of their admit card ahead of the exam and check the information mentioned on it. The link to download the CA admit card is made live at the ICAI exam website. The announcement for downloading of admit card is made through a circular released online.

The minimum eligibility criteria for pursuing CA course is class 12 pass or equivalent from a recognised institute or university. Candidates who have completed graduation can directly take admission at CA Intermediate level. Check below:

CA Foundation Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates who have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognised board are eligible.

  • Registered with Board of Studies on or before 30 June of the examination year

The difficulty level of CA Final exams is the highest among all the as the course is vast and extensive. The CA Final exam includes papers such as Corporate & Economic Laws Part I: Corporate Law, Economic Laws, Strategic Cost Management and Performance Evaluation, Direct Tax Laws & International Taxation, Goods and Services Tax, Direct Tax Laws & International Taxation, etc. which are tough to crack. After the online registration on ICSI and fee payment, the study material is provided to the students. Candidates get eight months to prepare for the entrance exam. In addition, it is compulsory for students to undergo seven days Student Induction Programme (SIP) within six months of registration and before appearing in the CS executive programme. After eight months of the course duration, the candidate can take the exam in any attempt (June or December). Admission to the course is valid for three years and hence, all the students must clear the CS foundation exam within the given period of time.

The Integrated Professional Competence Course or IPCC examination is an improvised version of the PCC examination for Chartered Accountants in India. A student can register for IPCC after completing the CA CPT (Foundation) exam, without article registration.
