To be an aeronautical engineer one should have a graduate degree (B.E/B.Tech. ) or at least a Diploma in Aeronautics. The degree and postgraduate degree courses are offered by the engineering colleges and Institutes of Technology (IITs), and the Diploma courses are available at polytechnics. The basic eligibility criteria for a BE / B.Tech is 10+2 or equivalent examination, with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and must have a fairly high percentage of marks in the aggregate. One must also pass the qualifying exam JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) conducted by the IIT's. Regards.

Hello Sandeep,
Merely getting good marks in 12th is not enough these days. One has to clear entrance exam of the state concerned. This institute claims to be in top 10 of Telengana and if it is do then more students will opt for it. I am sure you have appeared for EAMCET to qualify for admission. I would definitely advise you to take admission here if possible.

Hi, every option is good, if you have a keen interest in that branch. I would like to tell you that aerospace / aeronautical branch requires interest in math and physics. If you are good in math and physics, then go for it. It is not an easy branch. Highly specialized branch. So, think twice before selecting aerospace / aeronautical. It is a very good branch and has a good future. So listen what you want to do.

Hello Sambit,
The institute that you have mentioned is actually not offering any engineering course approved by AICTE. What they are doing is enabling you to complete distance education program offered by "Aeronautical Society of India" after which you get the certificate that is equivalent to BE. My sincere advice is do not go for it. This path is offered to professionals working & who cannot go to college.

Dear Bharath,
You can be a part of ISRO by choosing any of the branches through direct recruitment done by ISRO itself. Opt for some of the good universities like LPU, SRM, VIT, etc. For your degree, they are offering various specializations in B.Tech. They have their different criteria for admissions. Some offer admission on basis of JEE scores, some offer admission on basis of their own tests and some offer admission on the basis of both. Some even offer direct admission on basis of your marks in class 12th. Some of the universities also offer scholarships on basis of your performance in class 12th or JEE or even during the course. A

Hello dear, your JEE marks are not enough for getting any good engineering college, also chances are less for the branch aeronautical engineering. Try for state level colleges and private university that organises their own entrance. Otherwise, go for B.Sc Aviation, which provides you same career opportunities. Otherwise, take a drop and prepare yourself to crack JEE Mains.

You can look for IITs and Nehru Institute. These campuses offer aeronautical engineering. The chances for getting these colleges will differ each year based on the student's interest. So, I would suggest you keep some colleges as the backup too.
