Hello Sparjan, Frankly speaking, this branch does not have many opportunities for employment in India. At least in core areas. To some extent in armed forces and ISRO. Private industry is still in nascent stage. However, one can use this as basic graduation and can go abroad for MS, can think of MBA, can work as maintenance person in many industries. Interestingly the present CEO of Infosys is aeronautical engineering branch graduate!

Hello Shashank, Yes, there are job opportunities in all these organisations for Diploma holders in aeronautical engineering branch. But the number of posts keep varying. All this is published and available on respective websites.

Mandatory Subjects : Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
Candidate must have passed 10+2 along with mandatory subjects from a recognised board/university or authority accepted by the syndicate of the Anna University as equivalent thereto are eligible to apply.
Age
Maximum 21 years
Other eligibility criteria
Candidate who have given any other examination of any other authority accepted by the syndicate of the Anna University as equivalent thereto are also eligible to apply.
For candidates belonging to SC/ST, the age limit is relaxable by three years.

Hello, The placement or jobs for aeronautical engineers is hard to come by. If you can clear concerned exams and can join armed forces, your starting salary would be about Rs.1 L per month. Else it should be around Rs.6 Lacs per year.
