There are no fixed criteria for becoming an astronaut. An engineering graduate, pilots, a specialist in medicine, metallurgy, or any such related subject. For becoming an engineer, you need to have passed 10+2 with required marks and cleared entrance exam.

I feel that there is nothing like online MBBS. Both aeronautical & astronautical courses have very less potential for placements.

You can seek lateral admission directly in the 2nd year of engineering in your own state or treating Diploma as equivalent to class 12th to seek admission in the 1st year in any IIT. For former no exam. For later, JEE Mains & JEE Advanced.

Placements for aeronautical engineering students in India for core activity is a big worry. India simply does not have so many openings in core job as students passing out. So students end up doing MBA and then getting a job, few go abroad for MS in same or related subject and then get placed.

Lateral admission is restricted to the students who have passed diploma of same state. Secondly the dte of edu of the state is controlling authority and eligibility for each branch of engineering is clearly spelt out. It is advised that if you see this webpage all your queries would be answered.

It's quite tough to say cutoff for aeronautical engineering for KCET. This is so since cut off changes from college to college and also from branch to branch in same college. If you can zero in on some probable colleges, then cutoff can be seen on their webpages.

There are plenty of colleges, good ones, in both these states. You can seek admission in any college in Maharashtra based on MHTCET or JEE Mains or JEE Advanced. While in Karnataka, for private colleges, you need to clear COMEDK.
