Dear Pankaj, Mass communication is the process of imparting and exchanging information through mass media to large segments of the population. It is usually understood for relating to various forms of media, as these technologies are used for the dissemination of information, of which journalism and advertising are part. Lovely Professional University offers B.A. (Journalism & Mass Communication). One of my cousin has completed B.J. M. C. programme from this University. He shared his experience so I got to know about this course. The programme is designed to expose students to all dimensions of Print, Electronic and New Age Media. The main Focus is on enhancing technical skills of reporting, news design software, video editing, photography, etc. He told me School of Education, Lovely Professional University- LPU is a leading teacher education institution in northern India. The school offers courses from undergraduate to doctorate level. The courses are recognised by the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) and the state government. They have their own in campus media channel- Y TV, where the students work and have hands on experience of the real life media channel scenario. Apart from this there are many other events like Coke Studio, YouthVibe, etc. Taking place where the students are made part of it to give them the filed experience. Most of these things are part of their curriculum. Regular educational trips to various newspapers, channels, etc. Are arranged for students. The School has an enriched library with a huge stock of books, reference materials and journals (print as well as online), and modern lab facilities to support teaching, learning and research. The school is a life-long member of Global Educational Research Association (GERA), All India Association of Educational Research (AIAER) and Indian Association of Teacher Education (IATE). The School follows the NCTE model curriculum in its academic programmes. It also holds seminars and conferences at national and international levels. LPU provides rigorous exposure to students on pre-production, post-production, script writing for radio, TV and news media. Students also get the opportunity to cover academic, cultural, co-curricular and sports events on a university campus for the in house TV channel and newspaper through live project-based courses. There will be more practical exposure to students through field visits and interaction with industry expert.

Amity University is committed to nation-building beyond education reflected in the efforts and initiatives of the Amity Humanity Foundation. There are various initiatives taken up by students for social awareness like the Social Activity Project (SAP), mandatory for the subject Behavior Science, where they have to do volunteer work for society. The university is also connected with NSS (National Security Scheme), along with this, Amity has also adopted a village and the students, faculty and staff dotingly work for its development. Amity also keeps organizing programs like "Run Gwalior Run Marathon" In affiliation with Nagar Nigam Gwalior for clean and green city. Apart from this, many of the students work in NGO's like Gramiksha, Pad Woman, Muskan and Vidyalaya. The university also has some Nukad Natak teams that go by the City to spread awareness on social and political issues.
