Yes, BMC is a very good course for students who want to become news anchors or TV reporters. It teaches students with the skills in public speaking, news reporting, and on-camera presentation.
Also provide practical training in media labs, students gain exposure to journalism ethics and current affairs, which are very much essential for this profession. Many colleges also offer internships in TV channels and news agencies, helping students gain real-world anchoring and reporting experience.

Having a Mass Communication degree is the most relevant option to become a TV anchor, filmmaker, or Content Creator. These job roles are a part of the Mass Communication field, hence, a degree in the same discipline will help you get a strong base knowledge, networking options, hands-on experience through internships or industrial visits, etc.

The salary of a News Anchor is based on their goodwill, employer, relevant experience, and expertise. Though the average salary of a Famous TV Anchor is around INR 27 LPA, the starting for a Fresh Anchor is around INR 7.7 LPA.

The job of a TV news anchor is exciting as well as challenging. One has to stay abreast of all the recent events happening in the news segment or the sports, depending on your domain. Also, one has to be good at managing time because the deadlines and schedules of news agencies and thus the news reporters are very tight.
It requires great communication skills and a lot of enthusiasm and energy because no one would listen to someone with less or no energy. So, overall the job is rewarding as well as interesting for the one who loves what they do.

No, it's not mandatory. But, yes starting as a reporter will be advantageous to your anchoring career because reporters are the ones who investigate and understand the news well. When someone presents the news as an Anchor, it would be a little easier for the individual, because of their sound understanding regarding the news, if they come from a reporting background.

Getting into the world of Anchoring and Hosting requires a lot of patience and a strategic process to succeed. One can start by pursuing a degree in Journalism, or Mass Communication & Media. However, something that makes a major difference to your hosting or anchoring job is your soft skills.
