General & OBC Categories: Must score at least 25% of total marks, that's 40 out of 160 to become eligible for ranking and counselling. 
SC/ST Categories: There is no minimum qualifying score; all SC/ST candidates are ranked irrespective of their marks

Andhra Pradesh EAMCET 2026 tie-breaking rules are as follows,

Tie-Breaking Criteria (Engineering Stream):

  • Higher marks in the Mathematics section of Andhra Pradesh EAMCET.
  • If still tied, higher marks in the Physics section.
  • If still tied, the older candidate (by age) gets preference.
  • If the tie remains, the lottery system (random number) may be used.

For Agriculture & Pharmacy Stream:

  • Higher marks in Biology.
  • If tied, higher marks in Physics.
  • Then, age (older candidate preferred).
