Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication Dwarka admissions are entrance-based. The institute considers CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT and ATMA scores for admission to PGDM programme. Besides, the selection for PG Diploma courses is based on in-house entrance exam conducted by AIMC. Aspirants meeting the criteria for direct admission are exempted from the entrance exam. Selected candidates are further called for a personal interview round for final admission.

AIMC Dwarka new academic session usually starts in August. The application process starts in January and usually goes on till July. The university conducts interviews every month during that time to admit candidates into the course. The programme provides 120 seats in its AIMC Dwarka programme divided over five specialised courses offered by the university.

AIMC Dwarka PG Diploma is a one-year program. The programme entails different specialisations in Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations. The programme offers five specialisations and candidates can choose any one of them as per their career plans to secure admission into the programme. The programme is offered in regular-full time mode which makes it compulsory for students to attend classes in person at the university campus.

AIMC Dwarka offers PG Diploma in five courses: Television Radio Journalism and Production, Advertising and Marketing Communcation, Corporate Communication and Event Management, Digital Media and Online Journalism and Business and Financial Journalism.
