Biotechnology is a growing field and too much to ask for placement even in top colleges like IITs. So, certainly placement thought is either a fake or a bluff, but if you are paying that punt try to go for colleges in Bangalore or Pune and seek non biotech branches, through management quota

I would suggest you to pursue ECE from LNMIIT, Jaipur. ECE of LNMIIT is very good and there are lots of opportunities and a good environment for students. The placement record is also good here.
