Bachelor's degree (BPlan or equivalent) with a minimum of 60% aggregate is the basic eligibility for the Master of Planning (MPlan) course offered at NIT Calicut. Candidate must have the UG degree in relevant discipline. The degree must have been issued by a recognised university/institute. Candidates must hold the relevant documents as well as a proof of eligibility.

NIT Calicut offers a regular Master of Planning (MPlan) course in Urban Planning. The institute offers this course in a full-time mode over a duration of two years. Admission to the course is based on GATE score followed by CCMT Counselling. The seat intake for the course is 16.

The seat intake for B.Arch. at Jamia Milia Islamia-Faculty of Architecture & Ekistics is 80 seats.

Jamia admissions to BArch programme is based on a candidate's score in JEE Main Paper 2.

It is a full-time programme which is offered for a duration of five years.

The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) or the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main Paper 2 are required to be taken as part of the B.Arch selection procedure.

In order to be eligible for admission to the B.Arch programme through JEE Main, applicants must normally achieve a minimum percentage of marks in their board exams for the 12th grade—roughly 50% with mathematics as a required subject—as well as meet a specific percentile or score on the JEE Main Paper 2.

JEE  Main Paper 2A (BArchitecture) score is acceptd for BArch admission via JAC Chandigarh. Additionally, candidates must have passed 10+2 scheme of examination with at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and also 50% in aggregate of 5 subjects. Or, passed 10+3 Diploma examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
