Hello Karishma,
It's indeed great to have dream of becoming an astronaut. But presently, only USA and Russia are having requirement of astronauts. It would be by luck if India decides to tie up for sending an astronaut in space. Becoming a US citizen and then waiting for the opportunity appears to be the best option.

After 12th, you should opt for engineering course. For this, you should have studied physics, chemistry, maths in 12th standard. Further, you can go for higher education and after completing your PG try for NASA or ISRO for work experience.

Probably No. With only a B.Sc Physics degree, you can't achieve such a prestigious career where Lakhs of aspirants are already in the queue.
To go with an astronaut career, you must have a pilot's license along with a 2-3 year (not sure) professional experience of jet aircraft pilot, and an engineering experience too. Moreover, you will pass through physical tests. Your vision capabilities will also be checked. And, I think there is a limit of heights too.

Hello Payal,
Becoming an astronaut is a dream for many, but the opportunities come very infrequently. In India, there is presently no thought of sending anybody to space. The US has just now selected its future astronauts. In addition, to become an astronaut, one need not be an aeronautical engineer.

Hello Aman,
There are no fixed criteria for becoming an astronaut. An engineering graduate, pilots, a specialist in medicine, metallurgy, or any such related subject. For becoming an engineer, you need to have passed 10+2 with required marks and cleared entrance exam.

You must study hard to be an astronaut. You must master in mathematics and physics, and also other subject. By the time India plans to send astronauts on mars, you can prepare very well. Spacex is likely to send manned mars mission by 2027 and NASA by 2030 or ahead. My personal advice: Choose Biology and mathematics, both as subject such that PCBM.
