The BTech Automobile Engineering syllabus taught in classes includes two types of subjects, that is, core subjects and elective subjects. You need some basic documents like: passport size photo ,12th board result (PCM) with some percentage criteria as per state board, caste certificate, income certificate, free ship card (if you are eligible) etc. and basic details of you.

For studying the BTech Automobile Engg. course, you should start by going through the eligibility criteria at your desired colleges. The basic eligibility is to have at least 50 to 60% marks in the PCM subjects in Class 12 board exams.
The next step is to give relevant entrance tests and get very good marks in the same. Some colleges also give merit-based admissions and take the GD or PI rounds for selection. You should get very good marks in Class 12 as the merit cutoffs are quite high.

For studying the BTech Automobile Engineering course at popular colleges in India, you should have at least 50 to 60% marks in Class 12 board exams in the PCM subjects. This is the basic eligibility criteria which can differ from one college to another.

Also, you have to give relevant entrance tests and get very good marks in the same so that you can get a seat at some decent Automobile Engineering college as the cutoffs are usually very high. The duration of BTech Automobile Engineering course is usually 4 years in India. Almost all of the colleges in India offer 4-year long BTech courses. The only exception is for lateral-entry and integrated BTech-MTech courses that are have a time span of 3 years and 5 years respectively.
