If the priority is industry exposure, large recruiter base, and broader campus ecosystem, Lovely Professional University provides a strong platform for automobile engineering through its mechanical engineering framework, lab infrastructure, industry-linked curriculum, and placement-driven training model; the programme integrates practical components like CAD/CAE tools, manufacturing labs, industrial training, and internships, which are critical in core branches; LPU's scale also brings diversified corporate participation and multidisciplinary exposure, which can benefit students aiming for roles in automotive design, production, or rel

Automobile at LPU comes under Mechanical, so the focus is on engines, design and manufacturing basics.
A friend in the course told me that most of their real learning happens in workshops, CAD labs and technical team projects where they actually build and test things instead of just studying theory. They even worked on an SAE vehicle, which gave them proper hands-on exposure. Faculty usually support you when you approach them with a serious project.
Companies like Tata Motors, Mahindra and Bosch do visit, and the students who get better roles are the ones with strong projects and internships along with their academics.

At Lovely Professional University, if we purely talk about scope (without considering interest), Mechanical Engineering generally has broader opportunities than Automobile Engineering. Mechanical is a core branch, so you can work in multiple industries like manufacturing, production, energy, robotics, and even automobile companies, while Automobile is more specialised and mostly limited to the automotive sector. So in terms of wider career options and flexibility, Mechanical usually has more scope.

Hi,
You can pursue BTech Automobile Engineering if you meet the admission requirements. First, you must complete your 10+2 with good grades. You must then take the SAT or ACT and TOEFL to be eligible to apply for the universities in the USA.
If you are poor in Mathematics then Engineering is the not the right branch for you. Even the universities will suggest you other courses based on your aptitude and scores. It is too early for you to discuss the salary. By the time you will graduate, the market trends will change. Concentrate on your academics now and do really well if you want to study and work abroad.
Hope this helps!

Hello, whether it's Automobile or any other branch, duration for Diploma is three years after 10th board. However as per National Education Policy, once a student gets admission, after 12th board, once the students complete two years, they will be entitled to receive diploma. Then they can either leave the course or continue the same for one or two more years, they will be entitled for higher recognition.
Best wishes
