Student Pilot License (SPL) & Private Pilot License (PPL) are intermediate stages of Commercial Pilot License Training. You will be issued an SPL by the flying club after some hours of ground classes and an internal exam. Thereafter you shall become eligible to start flying training. For becoming a commercial pilot, there is a specific eligibility criteria, which you should first be aware of. This is decided on what subjects have you taken in class 12th. It requires 50% marks in PCM to be a pilot. And, even if you have not opted for the same, then you can appear separately for these subjects and become eligible. Further, you should be

To get command on aircraft the pilot needs ATPL. It is called Airline Transport Pilot License. It is mandatory for those pilots who are interested in flying as Commander for any flight. For this the mandatory requirement is to at least have a CPL and 1500 hours of flying hours. Some other company requirements also exist depending on the organization you work for. Type Rating is basically the mandatory training which is required for any pilot to do before he/she transits from one aircraft to another. DGCA has drafted Norms for the same. And, TRTOs or ATOs follow these norms when they provide type rating to someone.
