Aircraft Maintenance Engineer or AME is a very important course that enables a student to obtain license from DGCA to work on passenger aircraft as maintenance person. Obviously, it goes without saying that placements after completion of the course play an important role in selection of a college or institute for study. After careful scrutiny of the different facilities, trained faculty, etc. I am of the firm opinion that Wing's College of Aviation Technology is the most suitable out if the two to pursue the course of Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. This is so since the college boasts of three aircraft along with a helicopter and different aeroengines on its premises to aid students learn quickly and with hands on experience. In addition institute has tied up with some airlines for the students to spend almost one full semester learning their craft in most practical way.

Indian Institute of Aeronautics is perhaps the oldest institute to give training for becoming Aircraft Maintenance Engineer or AME. Started almost more than 40 years ago, it has produced many AME's who are now in almost all carriers operating out of India. It has two campuses, one in Delhi and other in Patna. This institute boasts of the trained and experienced faculty.

Even though this academy offers more than 10 different courses, none of them is for Aircraft Maintenance Engineer or AME hence I am afraid one can not join this academy for becoming AME. Indian Aviation Academy, based in Andheri suburb of Mumbai offers 10 different types of courses related to aviation. Besides course for Commercial Pilot Licence or CPL, the academy offers other courses related to aviation also. It's flying training is carried out from Juhu airport of Mumbai. On the other hand, Ahmedabad Aviation and Aeronautics, Ahmedabad is based in Ahmedabad with access to the airport here as well as access to the airport at Mehasana. This contingency enables this academy to complete flying syllabus earlier than many other flying schools. As per my knowledge, this would definitely be an advantage. To conclude, I would recommend academy at Ahmedabad for it's access to two airfields and also the availability of a larger number of airplanes for the purpose of training.

It is not mandatory that a PGDM is equal to MBA because then the college offering the PGDM course must have accreditation from AIU.
Although there are similarities between the curriculum of both, differences exist as well. A student pursuing MBA will be studying more of the theoretical aspects of management. An MBA institute will be following a fixed curriculum as it will be based on the university guidelines.
A student pursuing a PGDM course will be gaining knowledge regarding building soft skills and the programme is more industry-oriented.
