To become an Aircraft Mechanic or an Aviation Technician, one gas to undergo three years AME course after completion of 10+2 with physics & mathematics. These courses are conducted by many institutions in India. In some places, there is entrance exam while at others admission is based on marks obtained in 12th exam. Once eligible, a student can select either of the two streams of mechanical or avionics. Merely passing the course does not make one eligible to work on the aircraft straight away. One needs to obtain a license issued by DGCA. Only license holders are allowed to work on aircraft. With the boom in the aviation sector, many Indian carriers have placed orders for aircraft. All these will require license holders to maintain. Thus in near to medium term prospects of AME are quite good. Depending on the company, one can expect a salary of about Rs. 50K.

Just to correct your question, there are no colleges when you come to CPL, you usually do a CPL course from flying schools.
Flying schools charges are based on fuel prices, fleet, instructors, navigational facilities available, ground classes and the infrastructure available.

The fee structure is not fixed hence. Still for Cessna 152 the per hour charge is approximately INR 7000 - 9000.
For Cessna 172 it ranges from INR 9000 - 11000.
And for most multi engine aircrafts the per hour charge ranges from INR 15000 - 20000.
You will have to complete 200 hours to get a CPL license issued by DGCA India.
The accommodation, transportation and documentation charges are paid above the per hour charge. So decide wisely. Good luck.

There are some airlines who actually hire candidates who have a commercial pilot license and the selection process includes:
1. Technical Exam
2. Compass Test
3. Interview
4. Medicals
5. Induction.
Some airline also put Psychometric test and group discussion as a part of their selection procedure.
Others who look for candidates with Type Rating on certain fleet like Airbus or Boeing or ATR, fo for simulator check and interview followed by medicals.
You may target vacancies for CPL holders which are comparatively less in numbers when compared to those of type rated pilots.
So, after CPL, you may have to go for type rating depending on which airline you are targeting and of course, the decision shall also be influenced by the current market.
So, extra expenses after CPL is of getting type rated on any particular fleet to get a job.

Definitely, you can join a pilot training course. The basic eligibility criteria for candidates who are looking to pursue pilot's training course is to have completed 10+2 exam from any recognise board / universities, with physics, chemistry and maths as their subjects.
As far as age is concerned, you should have attained at least 18 years of age at the time of joining such course which I'm sure, you would have.
B.Tech in any stream is not at all required to become a pilot. In fact, no graduation is required to become a commercial pilot.
In case you are eyeing the pilot vacancies that are announced in defence sectors, may it be Air force or Navy or The Indian Army. They usually ask you to be a graduate preferably in science streams. But they have a very strict regulation on the age of the candidate.
They recruit through CDS, NDA and AFCAT for defence pilots.

In my view, BBA in Aviation Operations is much better than B.Sc as BBA will give you professional degree and you will learn a business side of this program but in B.Sc. you will learn only theories.
