After that, you have to go for medical test, class 1 and class II.
After clearing the medical test, you can join any flying club in India for flight training and ground classes.
With this training, you have to clear 6 exams of DGCA to get Indian Commercial Pilot licence.
The total cost of all this will be around 3500000 INR.

1. You need to first possess a student pilot license. You must be over 17 years of age and have completed 12th in science (Physics and mathematics) with 50%.
2. Your vision in one eye must be perfect. In general medical terminology, it is called 6/6 eyesight. In the other eye, you could have an imperfection of 6/9, which must be correctable to 6/6.
3. General physical fitness is mandatory. You must be free of any disease that can hamper normal function.
4. You need to register at a flying club which is recognised by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Government of India.

As physics and mathematics are important for doing engineering in marine, as you said you want to do it after 12th, you will not get a higher post on deck. My suggestion is to join any merchant navy school as they will teach you for 6 months and then make you to go on training.
