Seats are allotted based on the candidate's rank in the entrance exam merit list, reservation category, and seat availability at the time of counselling. Higher-ranked candidates get the first choice of available seats. Once a seat is chosen and the admission fee is paid, the allotment becomes final. Candidates who delay their decision may lose the seat to others. AMU follows a transparent, rank-based system for allocation, ensuring that seats are filled strictly according to merit and reservation rules applicable to the BA LLB programme for that admission year. 

Yes. Candidates must pay the prescribed counselling/admission fee during the counselling process to confirm their seat. The exact amount will be mentioned in the official counselling notification. Payment can usually be made via demand draft, online transfer, or other modes specified by AMU. This fee is separate from the entrance exam application fee and is often adjusted against the first-semester tuition fee. Failure to pay within the given time will result in cancellation of the allotted seat. Keep the payment receipt safely as proof of admission confirmation.
