Hey,
Yes, there are differences between a BA LLB and a BA LL.B hons, mainly in terms of curriculum depth, duration, and potential career paths. Here's a quick review:
| Feature | BA LLB | BA LLB (Hons.) |
|---|---|---|
| Curriculum focus | Broader focus on humanities and social sciences alongside law courses | Deeper focus on law with specialised electives in various legal areas |
| Number of law subjects | Around 28 core & elective law subjects | Minimum of 36 core & elective law subjects |
| Duration | 5 years | 5 years |
| Entrance exams | Similar entrance exams as B.A. LL.B, sometimes specific exams for Hons. programs | Same or additional entrance exams for Hons. programs |
| Career paths | Diverse options in law, government, corporate sector, NGOs | Specialized legal careers in corporate law, litigation, intellectual property, etc. |
Hope this helps !
