The opening or minimum rank required for NLU Patna is 1314 for BA LLB (Hons) and 1218 for BBA LLB (Hons) courses for General Category students under Vertical Reservation for CLAT Fifth Provisional Allotment List. CLAT Fifth Provisional Allotment list has been released by the Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) for NLU Patna admission to BBA LLB and LLM courses. Registered candidates for CLAT 2023 counselling were called by the respective NLUs through five provisional merit lists, each released by the Consortium of CLAT.

The admission procedure for the BA LLB (Hons) programme at IFHE is entrance-based. Candidates are admitted based on ILSAT score. In addition, only aspirants who passed Class 12 with a minimum of 50% aggregate are eligible for admission.

For BA LLB, candidates need to apply for both SLS Pune and SLAT registration. Aspirants need to pay the fee for both as those who will register only for SLAT will not be eligible to participate in the PI-WAT process. Below-mentioned is the application process:

Symbiosis Law School Pune has a total seat intake capacity of 120 seats for BA LLB course. For admission to the course, the university considers some reservation criteria out of this number. The bifurcation of number of seats is given below:
- For SC category 15% seats are reserved.
- For ST category 7.5% seats are reserved.
- For Differently Abled category 3% seats are reserved.
- For Children/wards of Defence Personnel category 5% seats are reserved.
- For Kashmiri Migrants category 15% seats are reserved.
