Basically BAMS admission depends on how well a student did in his or her class 12th board examination on subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
A good score in NEET is usually required since most medical courses conduct entrance examinations on an all-India basis.

No BAMS course is not a doctorate degree but is a UG degree.

One can do PG like MD (Doctor of Medicine) in Ayurveda and also can do a doctorate in Ayurved Medicine after studying BAMS.

Sorry to say that this year is a bad year for NEET students because cutoff for every medical college increased gradually. This due to more number of students got 720, 700+ and 650+ marks in the exam. If you get same marks in the last you will have a good chance to get admission in BDMS. So many members filed case on NTA for NEET paper leak. Finally for your marks, you can't get seat in BAMS college this year.

The cutoff by rank for BAMS at Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU is 27823. The cutoff marks are the minimum marks required to be eligible for the next round of the selection process. The selection process includes counseling and seat allotment based on the candidate's rank in the NEET-UG entrance exam. The category-wise cutoff for BAMS in the NEET-UG percentile for the general category is 50th and for SC/ST/OBC it is 40th.
