Some of the pivotal responsibilities of a Sociologist include:
* Prepare, plan and execute research-based projects
* Conduct surveys and interviews
* Analyze and draw a conclusion from the data collected
* Consultation

The biggest advantage of pursuing a B.A. In Sociology is that you have a diverse range of areas to delve into. Sociology as a career is not only a very enticing career but also a good option. The career is diverse in terms of the specializations that one can choose from. Once you have completed your education there will be quite some opportunities. Psychology degree, you are well placed to pursue a career in both arts and scientific fields, depending on your personal interests. Further study is an option, and is required, if you would like to become a fully-fledged chartered psychologist. If you want to leave B.Sc then you must leave it. As far as I know, if you want to prepare for IAS then B.A. will be a better option. Good luck!
