Distance education (Degree) approved by DEC, UGC/ AICTE is valid for both government and Private job at all level. That is technical view for the legality issue for distance education.
However,
Job to Job and case to case, more than a degree, criterion for the position outwit full-time education over distance education.

Hello Ashita,
(1) Admission of students into the Autonomous Degree Courses will be on the basis of the aggregate marks in the qualifying examination or its equivalent, for both the undergraduate and the postgraduate courses, unless specified otherwise.
(2) Admission to B.Com is through the College Office (Commerce Section), by filling up and submitting a form, and through an interview with the Vice Principal of the Commerce section or his representative.
(3) Students passing the Class XII from Boards / Universities other than Maharashtra State Board and seeking admissions to First Year B.A / B.Sc. / B.Com. / BMS / BMM / B.Sc.(I.T.) / B.V
