Eligibility:

Academic Qualification: One must clear the 10+2 level examination from any recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as obligatory subjects. In regard to obtaining the minimum percentages, it differs for each category- General, Backward Classes, etc. For the current year, check the official website or look out the prospectus by this college.
Entrance Exam: Admission to B.E. / B.Tech programs at SJCE is mainly through your score in the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) entrance exam.
Selection Process:

TNEA Application: Apply and appear for the TNEA entrance exam. The application window usually opens in December.
Ranking and Counselling: Thereafter, based on the obtained score in TNEA, a ranking would be assigned. The subsequent stages involve TNEA rounds of counselling where candidates have to choose colleges of interest as well as preferred courses and can also apply to SJCE. 
The allotted seats depend upon rank secured in TNEA, college preference and the available seats.

The B.E. / B.Tech fees in University Institute of Technology, Burdwan vary from around ?1.69 Lacs to ?3.04 Lacs in total for the entire programme (4-year duration). The figures include tuition fees but do not include hostel charges and other miscellaneous fees.

Candidates seeking admission in Vimal Jyoti Engineering College (VJEC) can pursue two major streams: entrance exam-based and management quota.

Entrance Exam-Based Admission: Candidates have to apply on the basis of KEAM (Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical) exam. KEAM is the primary mode of entrance for the B.E. / B.Tech program. The student will get admission based on their KEAM rank and seat allotment process.

Management Quota: Candidates failing to qualify through KEAM can apply for direct entry within the management quota against qualifying eligibility criteria prescribed by the college for that academic year.

From both routes, candidates would need to pass eligibility criteria and complete the application process as directed by the college.

Procedure To get admission to Vimal Jyoti Engineering College (VJEC) for a B.E. / B.Tech program, follow the following.

Eligibility: You should have an aggregate of at least 45% marks in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category).

Entrance Exam: Admission is usually granted based on marks scored in the entrance test of Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical, KEAM. Or, some seats can be taken through management quota whereby other requirements will be pertinent.

Application: Once a student is found eligible, he needs to apply for the course either on the official website of the college or through the central KEAM counseling.

Counseling & Allotment: Following the entrance exam, you will be called for counseling in which you can opt the programme and seats of your choice based on your entrance exam scores.

Fee Payment & Document Verification: After allotment of seat, you are required to pay the fee and present all documents for verification.
