I'm disappointed with faculty's behavior. But good placement in 2015 off-campus.
Placements: 2% of students got placed off-campus. The highest package is 7.5 LPA and the lowest package is 3.5 LPA. There are no recruiting companies visits our college. Students only get placed off-campus. I think, 1% of students got internships in Wipro. Top roles offered are software developer and system design.
Infrastructure: The quality of classrooms is good but hostel quality is not good. Wi-Fi labs is here and classrooms and board are not clean and so dusty. Hostel food is not good. Canteen in college is good and there is no medical facility or sports and games. There is only one playground it's only for cricket.
Faculty: Teachers are not helpful but knowledgeable. The curriculum is relevant and teaching quality is good. Semester exams are moderate. Pass percentage is 30%. Course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready to get jobs on their own. Semester exams are easy to moderate.
Other: I chose this course because I want to become an analog coder.

Faculty members are not that bad.
Placements: The average package offered here is 3 LPA and the highest package offered this year is 7 LPA. After COVID-19, few companies visit this campus. The placement cell did not even approach companies to come after COVID-19, so they stopped coming. There is very little chance of getting placement on campus.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very bad. The paint on the college walls has peeled off and there are visible cracks. The food in the hostel has so much oil. Even after complaining, issues have been unresolved. There are no such kind of medical facilities here. Even the college doesn't have an infirmary. No Wi-Fi is provided in the college and hostel. We can get any book from the library, but the library is too small for studying there. Only 10 to 12 students can study there at a time.
Faculty: For studies, the college is not that bad. Some faculty members teach very well while some don't. I am from the CSE department, so the syllabus is very much similar to the GATE syllabus. So we can study both simultaneously. Semester exams are not that difficult. We can pass them if we have attended all classes and checked PYQs.
Other: Because of my rank, I chose the CSE department. Coding actually excites me that's the only best thing for me. Practical implementation would be good and better for understanding. There is no campus, fest, or connectivity.

Decent college experience with good infrastructure, supportive faculty, and scope for improvement.
Placements: Approximately 10% of students got placed. The highest package is 6 LPA. The top recruiting company is Keros. None of the students got an internship. Top roles are in sales, some are in software development engineer, which is off-campus, like TCS, Cognizant, and some companies by NextGen venture.
Infrastructure: The department has good classrooms with projectors and Wi-Fi, though the speed may vary. Labs are functional but a bit outdated. The library is peaceful and well-stocked. Hostel rooms are shared and come with basic furniture. Cleanliness and maintenance are average. Mess food is hygienic but repetitive; the canteen offers better snacks. Medical facilities cover basic needs, and serious cases are referred to a nearby hospital. Sports facilities are available for both indoor and outdoor games, but may lack regular maintenance. Overall, the campus life is decent and manageable with some adjustments. It's suitable for a focused academic life.
Faculty: The teachers are generally helpful, well-qualified, and have good subject knowledge. Some go beyond the syllabus to support students, while a few stick strictly to books. The teaching quality is decent, depending on the faculty. The course curriculum is mostly relevant and covers industry basics, but practical exposure is limited, so students may need extra effort to be industry-ready. Semester exams are moderate in difficulty. Not too tough if you study regularly. The pass percentage is fairly high, around 80%-90%, as internal assessment and assignments help boost final marks.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in technology and its career scope. The best part is the balance between theory and practical subjects, with opportunities for projects and internships. However, the course could improve with more industry visits and hands-on workshops. College fests and events are enjoyable and well-organized. The campus crowd is friendly and diverse. Connectivity is good with nearby transport options. The surroundings are peaceful. Scholarships are available for deserving students. Extracurricular activities like sports, tech clubs, and cultural programs add to the overall student experience.

A brief review of UIT Burdwan College on what to expect and how things are there.
Placements: The percentage of students placed is high, but the average package ranges from 4 to 6 LPA, while the highest package is between 6 and 8 LPA. Aponair, Cognizant, Deloitte, and TCS, etc. Are among the recruiters. The top roles include Software Developer, Front-End Developer, and Python Programmer etc.
Infrastructure: Labs are good but not of the highest standard. Similarly, classrooms are good but not the best. The library is well-maintained and contains all the important books for study purposes. Hostels can be considered average, and the food quality is similar. Sports and games are highly encouraged, with tournaments for cricket and football. Additionally, chess, badminton, volleyball, and various races are organized as part of the sports day schedule.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, well-qualified, and highly knowledgeable. If a student asks a doubt, they always try to solve it and ensure that the topic is clearly understood. While the curriculum may not fully make students industry-ready, those who strictly follow it can perform well in industrial interviews. The semester exams are somewhat difficult, and the pass percentage is 40%.
Other: In this course, there is not as much pressure as in the CS branch, allowing me to freely explore coding and problem-solving aspects of this field. I hope for improvements in the infrastructure and development of the college architecture. Fests are organized, and there are various cultural and coding clubs. These clubs host different events every week or once every two weeks to keep students actively engaged in such activities.

A college with great facility so if possible go for it.
Placements: 80% of students get placed this year. 20% of students got internships. The highest salary is 42 LPA. The lowest salary is 6 LPA. Top recruiting company is TCS. Top role offered is software engineer. The placement cell is also very helpful. Lastly, its placements are expected to rise as well.
Infrastructure: The hostel and Wi-Fi infrastructure are quite good with good quality food which is provided three times a day. But the food choice is not provided to us we get the food that the college committee chooses. But overall the college food and hygiene are not that bad.
Faculty: Teachers give quality education. They are helpful. The course makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams to tell the truth are pretty hard and the passing percentage is 80%. Teachers even motivate us before exams so that we can do great in exams.

Absolutely dissatisfied with the infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Honestly speaking the placements are not good in my college. Last year only 50-60% students were placed with the highest package of 7.5 LPA and the lowest of 3.16 LPA. The average package is also not good and lucrative. Most of the companies visiting were mostly startup companies offering the role of software developer. As compared to the last year, around 80% students from the batch of 2023 were placed which was comparatively good with the highest package of 10 LPA and lowest of 2.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of my department is not good and at par. The classrooms are very old with desks being as old as you can imagine, forget wi-fi facilities and the labs. You can spot bird litter everywhere on the desks in the rooms. The hostels are the only good thing for the price charged by the college which includes facilities like clean bathrooms and a common room where you can play indoor games like carrom, Ludo, etc.
Faculty: Some faculty members are knowledgeable while the others are not. They are very helpful and qualified with at least an M.Tech degree. The curriculum depends on you, if you are passionate about a particular department then it would not be a bad deal. Every course here is designed for the students to become industry ready. The semester exams are of mid level, you can easily pass them by studying the previous year question papers. The passing percentage varies department to department with highest being that of IT Department.
