Hello, chalapathi institute of engineering and technology or CIET as it is called is located between Guntur city and the future capital of Andhra Pradesh, Amravati. Chalapathi Education Society has established this engineering College. This has a campus of about 10 and half acres. Institute admits more than 1100 students for its under graduation courses and about 40 for post graduation courses. 70% of the seats for undergraduation engineering courses are filled up through EAMCET, the engineering entrance exam conducted by the state of Andhra Pradesh and balance 30% or filled up by the management quota. Of course the student has to clear his 12th examination from recognised board with requisite marks.

To be qualified for admission into the B.E./B.Tech course in Kathir College of Engineering (KCE), applicants should have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Aspirants have two alternatives to seek admission to the B.E./B.Tech course: (1) through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions counselling - admission will be on merit list as per 10+2 PCM marks and students will require Tamil Nadu nativity documents in case you have not studied Classes 8-12 in Tamil Nadu; and (2) through management quota where admission will be accepted directly as per 10+2 PCM marks without the need for the entrance examination. In both ways of admission, the applicants would still be required to submit an online KCE application form, apply online for  allocated counselling method or given seats, undergo document verification, and pay admission charges to secure their seat.

For candidates to seek admission in the B.E. / B.Tech programme, they are required to have passed 10+2 pattern with physics, chemistry and mathematics, as compulsory subjects, with overall minimum marks of 45% for general and 40% for reserved classification. Admission is based mainly through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counselling, which will rely on the students marks from the 12th standard, plus the nativity verification if they did not study their 8th to 12th education in Tamil Nadu. Candidates may opt to apply for the additional management quota basis their performance, but again do not separately orientate themselves with admissions tests.
