Eligibility Criteria: Admission to the B.Ed course through distance education mode shall be open to the candidates:
i) Who have passed Bachelors degree examination in the faculty of arts, science, social sciences, commerce, medicine, veterinary science and forestry conducted by the University of Jammu or an examination from any other university recognized as equivalent thereto.
ii) Who are serving as full time teachers in the recognized school (primary/secondary/higher secondary levels) within the territorial jurisdiction of the University of Jammu and
iii) Who has a minimum of 2 years teaching experience either at a stretch or in part

The minimum eligibility criteria for integrated BA-B.Ed and B.Sc-B.Ed courses is 10+2 with 50% (45% for SC/ST/PWD) from a recognized board. The B.Ed programme requires graduation in Arts/ Science or Engineering with 50% (45% for SC/ST/PWD) from a recognized university. Candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in 2015, 2016 or appearing /appeared in 2018 are also eligible to apply for BA-B.Ed and B.Sc-B.Ed courses.

The minimum qualification required for entry into B.Ed, Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) form a recognised board/university with at least 50%.

The basic eligibility criteria is the candidate should pass in 10+2 examination in any streams with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
