RIE CEE 2026: Result, Counselling Dates, Registration, Syllabus, Exam Pattern & News

The fees at RIE vary for every course. The range differs between ₹25,960 to ₹71,490 or it may change for 2026 year.

RIE CEE exam is conducted by NCERT for candidates who wish to get admission in BSc BEd, BA BEd, and MSc BEd, BEd-MEd, and MA Education Technology. The examination is conducted in July on behalf of 7 regional institute of education in different parts of the county.

Yes, all the RIEs are affiliated to different Universities as given below.

• Candidates with at least 50% marks in either in the Bachelor's Degree and/or in the Master's degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Humanity
• Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with specialisation in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or in any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the programme
• relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates.

Regional Institute of Education is a government college for educational courses. The RIEs can be found in Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Mysuru, Jhajjar, Shillong, and Ajmer.

As of now, no information is released about RIE CEE exam. The candidates will find out once the notification is issued.

To join Regional Institute of Education, you need to appear for RIE CEE exam. The college releases merit lists for eligible candidates based on which they get the admission.

The RIE CEE 2026 eligibility criteria require candidates to pass Class 12 with at least 50% marks in aggregate and 45% for reserved categories). Check the requirements for the subject-specific area before applying.

If you belong to Reserved Categories: A relaxation of 5% is provided, requiring a minimum of 45% aggregate marks for candidates belonging to the SC, ST, and PwD categories.

For admission to RIE courses through the CEE, a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in your 12th class (or equivalent qualifying examination) is required for general category candidates.

Reserved Categories: A relaxation of 5% is provided, requiring a minimum of 45% aggregate marks for candidates belonging to the SC, ST, and PwD categories. 

At least 60% i.e. 100 out of 160 is considered an acceptable RIE CEE score for most courses and colleges. Merit lists for admission are prepared with preference given to the candidate with a score higher than others

RIE CEE exam includes the listed section with the decided marking scheme.

• Language Proficiency (English or Hindi) (20 questions)
• Teaching Aptitude (30 questions)
• Reasoning Ability (30 questions)

The total number of question will be 80 and the candidates will be given 120 minutes to complete the exam.

For Physical Science Group in RIE CEE: Students must have passed class 10+2 with Physics,  Chemistry, and Mathematics/Statistics, getting at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PwD) in 2025, 2024, or 2023.

RIE CEE Syllabus hasn't been revised as the notification hasn't been released. The last was made in 2024 and for 2026, it is expected to remain the same as previous year.

RIE CEE Exam pattern covers a total of 80 questions from Language Proficiency, Teaching Aptitude, and Reasoning.

The RIE CEE exam will have three sections- Language Proficiency, Teaching Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. The maximum score will be 160. Each question shall carry 2 marks. For every incorrect answer, 0.5 will be deducted.

Yes, there is a negative marking in the RIE Exam. 0.5 will be deducted for every wrong answer.

The fee structure is divided based on categories. 

For General and OBC, it is ₹1200/-

For SC, ST, PwD, and EWS, it is ₹600/-.

CEE Result for Group B was declared on September 11, on the RIE Bhopal website. Check your login credentials twice before trying to login. You can reset the password in case you're entering the incorrect one. If the situation still persists, you should immediately notify the RIE helplines. At least 50% in the qualifying exam (relaxable to 45% for reserved categories) is required to be eligible to sit for the exam. The RIE CEE 2026 qualifying marks will be based on the weightage formula that includes 60% weightage to RIE CEE exam score and 40% weightage to qualifying exam marks

RIE Bhubaneswar offers seats for the integrated BSc BEd. program, with typically 55 seats each for Physical Science (PCM) and Biological Science (CBZ) groups, totaling 110 seats

It is not advised for any candidate to miss the counselling date. It can result in losing the seat as well as the admission. You can confirm with the respective RIE if you can attend the next round of counselling or any other available solution.

RIE CEE counselling started after the result announcement on August 30 for Group C. After the Group A result, declared on September 5, and Group C on September 11, the other programs' counselling also started. The provisional list is being uploaded to the respective website. The candidate must report to the respective campus within the given timeline.

After the result, the merit and provisional list for qualified is released within a week or two of the declaration. Candidates need to report to the allotted centre with documents and fees.
