B.Ed Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria: Admission to the B.Ed course through distance education mode shall be open to the candidates:
i) Who have passed Bachelors degree examination in the faculty of arts, science, social sciences, commerce, medicine, veterinary science and forestry conducted by the University of Jammu or an examination from any other university recognized as equivalent thereto.
ii) Who are serving as full time teachers in the recognized school (primary/secondary/higher secondary levels) within the territorial jurisdiction of the University of Jammu and
iii) Who has a minimum of 2 years teaching experience either at a stretch or in parts at the time of submission of application form for admission.

Candidate must have achieved a minimum score of 50% marks in aggregate (45% in case of SC/ ST/ OBC/ MOBC/ PWD categories) either in the Bachelor's Degree and /or in the Master's Degree in Sciences/ Social Sciences/ Humanities/ Commerce OR
Must have completed Bachelor's in Engineering/ Technology of Dibrugarh University or any other recognized University with specialization in Science and Mathematics having 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent
Note: Candidate securing 50% marks or more in the Honors/ Major Subject, but less than 50 % marks in aggregate in all the courses of the Bachelor's degree will not be eligible for the program. Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years teaching experience in a school recognized at least up to the 10th standard by the Board of Secondary Education, Assam.
