VITMEE Eligibility Criteria 2017
Candidates must be Indian resident nationals.
They should have studied in regular school in class X and XII.
They must have secured/passed graduate degree with 50% marks.
The candidates are required to have studied in full-time degree programme from any college/university in India. However, the degree should be a regular/full time in the last 3 preceding years.
Candidates, who are appearing in the qualifying exam in 2017 in the final degree/final semester are also eligible.
Candidates whose result of final year/final semester is awaited can also apply. But such candidates need to complete their final year examination before the counselling and interview. Apart from this, they are also required to submit their final year mark sheet on or before August 15, 2017.

In India, successful postgraduates of the course are hired in fields of Medical Biotechnology and Agricultural Biotechnology. Medical Biotechnology is an emerging sector in India, and accounts for nearly 70% of the total revenue of the biotech sectors. The companies that populate this sector could be divided into three broad categories- small startup companies that have indigenously developed biotech products, e.g., Shantha Biotech and Bharat Biotech, large pharmaceutical firms such as Dr. Reddy Laboratory (DRL), Ranbaxy Laboratories and Wockhardt Ltd., and start-ups, which are all set to emerge as Contract Research Organizations (CROs), mainly working for transnational corporations.
The average annual starting salary offered to such postgraduates ranges between INR 10,000 and, 20,000 varying based on the candidates skill set and experience.
