Coimbatore Medical College (the government-run institution in Coimbatore) does not offer a B.Sc in Cardiology nor a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) degree. Its paramedical programs include B.Sc. Cardiac Technology (not cardiology) and other related fields—not B.Sc Cardiology or BPT .

The educational programs leading to B.Sc. in Cardiology or related cardiovascular technology courses in Davangere are mainly administered by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS). Such programs are currently available at JJM Medical College and several other allied health Science colleges in this same region. One must pass 10+2 studies that include Physics and Chemistry together with Biology to meet the admission criteria. The annual tuition fees in these colleges ranges from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1,50,000 depending on the institution. Students should verify specific admissions and cutoff criteria that different colleges require

Admission to B.Sc. Cardiology course in 2024 at SJICR would be on the “inter” (12th) marks in conjunction with entrance criteria. For the maximum marks, Andhra Pradesh intermediate evaluates it as 1000 for which an expected good score would be 880/1000 (88%).
Normally, it has 50-60% in 10+2 PCB according to SJICR criteria, plus either state-level entrance test or merit-based admission. In 2024, the cut-off therefore went down below 80-85 percent for the general category and much lesser for the reserved categories.
