Hello Jasmine,
It is nice to see your enthusiasm and interest in taking up undergraduate studies of BSc in Mount Carmel College in Bangalore. This is a minority institution college and Catholic Christians have an advantage of getting admissions along with few other socially weaker sections. After going through the syllabus and various options available on the college website I feel there is no concept of major and minor subjects. Since you have done B.Sc in Maths, so your field must be related to mathematics, which can differ after opting masters in IT. So, that can be a problem for you in future to cope up with the subjects. Along with this, if you are having graduation in Math, so it will be difficult for getting job somehow.

Yes, you can definitely go for B.Sc in Mathematics through distance education after completion of your Bachelor of engineering. Normally speaking, the eligibility for B.Sc in mathematics will be class 12th, and I am sure, you would have done your class 12th before entering into Engineering College. Hence, as per my opinion, you will be eligible for your desired course in this university, providing distance education. However, to be on the safer side, I would like to advise you to download the information brochure and application form, which comes in PDF form and go through it fully about eligibility conditions for BSc in mathematics.

Hello Digvijay Singh,
The placements opportunities for BSc are less compared with engineering or management graduates. However, you have done BSc in computer science and hence, I feel, you have a great chance of getting job via placements. On top of it, you are studying in Christ University which has reputation of having a very good placement cell. I feel, you will get good employment via this placement cell of the Christ University.
Best wishes to you.
