Yes, anyone with a bachelors degree with adequate CAT percentile and good academic record can get a seat in IIMA. Having said that, BSc students actually get certain points for diversity. As you know majority of applicants for IIMs are engineers. Hence IIMs give extra points to students from non-engineering background so that there is diversity in the batch.

There are a lot of openings for you after B.Sc Physics. You can opt for M.Sc Physics, Astrophysics : - This sector has many job opportunities you may join M.sc. Astrophysics in any university or if you want to see yourself as a scientist/Researcher you can proceed with M.Sc. in Applied Physics, and then go for PHD.

Hi Athira, there are people from Bsc Background too but as compared to engineering and Bcom its less but Bsc students are doing great too , Actually MBA is different from what you did in your Bsc , its a new path where you have to choose your career in a different way and your career goals will get widen up and your doors of option will get open. Just think about Engineering students they too didn't studied subjects like Marketing, finance , Economics and all the engineering students are doing well, so why cant a Bsc student?.
