About 50% of the students got placed. About 50% received internships based on their interests. Placements: In our college, 50–60% of students get campus placements every year. The college placements cell works hard for placements and internships. The top recruiting companies are Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Udia, etc. The average package was 3-5 lpa, and the highest package was 8 lpa.Placements: More than 91% of students got placed. And the jobs are good. The average package is Rs 2.5 lacs per year and the lowest is Rs 1.2 lacs per year. 96% of students got internships.

Sophia College for Women in Mumbai has a decent placement assistance program and an active Placement Cell that works closely with the industry to provide internships and job opportunities for students. The median package offered to UG (3-year) and PG (2-year) students was INR 4.78 LPA and INR 1.92 LPA respectively. The highest package offered by Sophia College for Women was INR 50 LPA. Companies like Wipro and Piramal do come for placement with packages of about 2-3 lakhs.

The choice between both the above courses totally depends upon what goals you are setting up for your future, what skills do you have and what are your area of interests.
Talking specifically, the demand for IT has increased all over the world. B.Sc. in IT provides a specialised and enhanced knowledge of various fields like cybersecurity, networking, software development, artificial intelligence etc. These all skills are trending nowadays, more of the companies in the IT sector demand this knowledge and pay a higher salary package.
However, B.Sc. may give you the wider scope in the field you are choosing e.g. Biotechnology, Physics

The institution has signed MOUs with a number of notable organizations, providing training programs and placement opportunities to the students. Placements at Amrita have always been excellent. Students who are eligible and opted for placements have more than one job offer, on an average. Exercising their dream option, some of them have up to three job offers by the end of their course. Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences is known for its quality education and good placement rate.

According to Shiksha, about 70% of students in the B.Sc. (Hons.) in the Computer Science course at Indraprastha College for Women (IP College) to get placed.
