Internships and On-the-Job Training (OJT) are a mandatory part of curriculum and are governed by UGC regulations. Students can apply their simulation-based training to real-world patient scenarios under professional supervision. This hands-on experience is a vital part of the course, as it builds the practical confidence and professional network required to secure full-time placement with leading healthcare employers.

Internships and On-the-Job Training are integral to the St. Peter's IHER, Chennai Powered by Emversity BSc courses. The structure and duration of these internships are determined by the University's Board of Studies in accordance with UGC regulations. These work-integrated learning opportunities allow BSc students to apply their classroom knowledge in real hospitals, often leading to full-time job offers.

As per JSPM University reports, the average package students are getting through campus selection is 3.5 LPA, while the highest package of the JSPM University is 45+ LPA. St. Xavier's College, Mumbai has a better reputation for placement of undergraduate students and top corporate recruitment, with a higher median salary of INR 6 LPA for UG courses. Both colleges are reputable, with St. Xavier's College, Mumbai, having a more prestigious brand, and K J Somaiya College maintaining high standards for industry-oriented professional courses like BSc IT.

 As per the NIRF 2025, the institute ranked #84 under Overall category, #49 under University, #20 under Medical, and #36 under Dental. 450 UG and 268 PG students were placed during DMIHER placements. The median package offered to UG students was between INR 4.20 LPA and INR 10.80 LPA. For PG courses median package ranged between INR 12.24 LPA and INR 14.40 LPA.

Indian Institute of Fashion Technology offers good placements annually to its BSc Fashion students. During the recent placement session, the students of the BSc batch 2025 secured the salary ranges between INR 3.5 LPA and INR 4.8 LPA.

The BSc placement data has not been released. However, the overall placement stats for UG 3-year courses is out. Out of 49 UG 3-year students, 47 were placed during placements 2024. The median package offered was INR 3 LPA. Earlier, 28 out of 122 UG 3-year students were placed during placements 2023. The median package offered in 2023 was INR 3.50 LPA.
