B.Sc Scope

Banaras Hindu University, Delhi University and IISC will provide good placements. M.Sc applied chemistry graduates can work as research manager or scientist in various government research organizations such as Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) and Defense Research and Development organisation laboratories. These graduates can attend the various exams conducted by Union Public Service Commission UPSC CSIR UGC and Staff Selection Committee SSC to get jobs in various departments in central government.
Candidates who secure any government job can write the concerned departmental exams to get promotion to higher positions. Civil Service Exams like IFS, IAS and IES are another alternative for these graduates. M.Sc. Applied Chemistry graduates who have good teaching aptitude can find teaching jobs in various universities offering applied chemistry courses. They should need to qualify the NET exam to apply for the lecture post available in various colleges or universities. Apart from qualifying the NET exam, candidates should also possess M.Ed degree to get a teaching job in any university or college.

The Master of Business Administration (Safety Management) Degree Programme of the Annamalai University is to equip practicing Executives and Managers, working in Private / Public Sector Undertakings / Banks/ Educational Institutions. Industries and other similar organisations so as to enable them to enrich their managerial skills, decision-making, and to enhance their problem solving ability, through case studies, lectures, role-plays and business games with special focus on Safety Management. The Programof Study Duration
The duration of the programof study is two years and students shall complete the programwithin a period of 7 years from the year of admission and the programwill comprise the subjects given in regulations. Medium of Instruction
English will be the medium of instruction for the programme. Eligibility for Admission
Any Graduation
Applicants who have qualified themselves in P. G. Diplomas in Management of any University / or any recognised institute and those who have worked in Managerial / Executive / Supervisory cadre in a Manufacturing / Marketing / Banking / Service organizations will be given preference.

In a broad sense, three options are available:
Option 1)
Let's say, you still want to stay in Biotech area: In that case, I would highly recommend going for M.Sc. or Ph.D. Now within this area, you may want to work in academia or industry. Based on your preference/goal, you can pick internships strategically and then get to where you want. Option 2)
Say, you want to do an MBA: You could do it abroad or India. In India, if you do your MBA from good business schools such as IIM/ISBs etc. , then your future is bright. But before that, get at least 2 years relevant work experience, even if it means low pay. It could be in a clinical lab, biotech manufacturing facility, or pharma side, or get into SALES/Marketing area. This relevant experience would make your MBA application standout from the rest and will help you get into a top-tier business programme. With such credentials, many top companies and consulting firms will want to hire you. Option 3)
Say, you want to still be in a related field but not move to a completely different field such as IT/ITES/BPO. In that case, multiple options are available such as getting a law degree (you can also do part time while you work in a law firm), going for an online course on Data Analytics/Science (you can get into market research, big data, clinical data analysis etc. ), or you could still pursue degrees such as homeopathy, psychology, Ayurveda etc. There are a lot of options, but many fail to see it or get to know about options in front of them.
