IHM, Pusa New Delhi is regarded as one of the best Hotel Management colleges in India.
Hotel Management is a 3 years course
The starting salary varies from type of jobs and in which sector you join:
> In hotels and Resorts- it will be around 20 Thousand per month in star category hotels
> In Fast Food Chains like Ruby Tuesday, Pizza Hut, it can be Rs 25000 per month
> In Airlines it can be Rs 35000 per month
> In cruise liners it can be Rs.50000 per month
Also please note high salary also depends on your skills sets and type of job you get after completing the course.
If you are able to get a job in leading hotel chains like Taj Group, Oberoi, Hyatt etc, your starting salary will be very high
So, to take admission in the IHM Delhi, you have to appear in the NCHMCT Joint Entrance test for the Hotel Management Course on 27th April 2013
The last date to apply is 15th April 2013
Educational Qualifications:12th Pass and English should be one of the subjects in class 12th.
AGE- Max age to apply for the General and OBC candidates is 22 years
Only Candidates born on and after 1st July 1991 can apply

Career prospects are good and ever increasing.
You may find it difficult to find first job. It may take around 6months if your time to find a decent job as a fresher. Once you get through, there are many vacancies at upper level.
You may start looking for a job after clearing CT1,3,5,6.
You should be open to relocate as few cities have actuarial opportunities. Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, chennai, pune, gurgaon and harldy any other.
Conventionally people work in insurance after starting actuarial science but I prefer data analytics job as more convinient, preferable and well paid over insurance sector. Your ability to understand data will be much more as an actuary as compared to anyone else. It won't be much difficult to find a job in data analytics, business intelligence.
Minimum fresher package in India varies from 2.5-5lakhs per annum and that's goes to around 30-40 lakhs PA as u become and actuary. Further, with experience, it tends to get even better. (In insurance industry)
Packages are much better in data analytics. Around 4-7.5lakhs as fresher is normal.
Do not skip graduation plus do PG too if possible.
