B.Sc computer science is a good field - wen clubbed along with mathematics / statistics as a main subject.
What you are taught during BSc. is fundamental to how systems work, how products like operating systems, databases and networks are build and operate. Doing this course will give a person looking to secure a future career in the IT field very good ground and clarity of concepts.
With that sort of information you will be geared to take up a specialized field of study like cryptography, network security, distributed systems, Neural Networks, Cognitive Learning based systems etc.

If you have a target to study MCA and want to enter into IT sector, then BCA will be better option for strong foundation and better approach for next education and job opportunities.
