For this you can check the JoSAA website and then check different colleges with the branch offered and last year's opening and closing ranks of the particular branches and the total seats available for the course.

Hi Laddi,
There could be many options from agriculture to pharmacy. Please mention your subjects for better suggestions. However, remember that the final choice is something you must make on your own. Know your interests and aptitude.

Chemistry is basic sciences course while biotech comes in life sciences difference in the two lies in specialisation also if you wish to teach at school level some day your biotech degree won't make you eligible for it but chemistry will. Otherwise both have good scope after msc in the subject as university teacher or in industries as associate of resarcher.

If admission date is over then you can't do much now for this college. Try other colleges where admission is still going on, it would be better not to waste one year for a specific college. It is the subject that matters more than a college if you are keen on studying microbiology.

If you want to pursue it, good but I would suggest you to go for some good and easy choice such as BBA, BA, etc.
It would be more beneficial for you.

B.Sc biotech makes you eligible at number of places for higher studies or for job in biotech industries. BPT specifically limits you to this field and it requires whole of patience as the job is quite demanding , but if you are passionate about it then there is nothing that can stop you. Both private and govt hospitals have not requirement and private sessions are also in demand , this specifically requires one to be compassionate towards others. See if you fit the bill.

It will not affect much as at most of the places theses are equivalent sparring those which require honours only. If you are interested in botany only then consider going for M.Sc in botany.

After B.Sc most sought after course is M.Sc in microbiology for good career prospects. You can search for jobs as microbiologist in healthcare, food industries after B.Sc. You can also apply at places which requires a basic science degree. For more option govt jobs such SSC, banking, etc. are also there.
